Dr.techn. Eduard Gröller

Dr. techn. Eduard Gröller is a Full Professor and Head of the Computer Graphics Research Unit at the Technische Universität Wien (TU Wien). His teaching activities cover a wide range of courses from bachelor theses to doctoral seminars, with a special emphasis on visualization, computer graphics and medical informatics. His research projects focus on scientific visualization, computer graphics and visual analysis, with numerous collaborations funded by organizations such as WWTF, European Commission and FWF.

He has received prestigious awards such as the IEEE VGTC Visualization Technical Achievement Award (2019) and the Eurographics Outstanding Technical Contributions Award (2015). For more than two decades he has led innovative projects in medical visualization, industrial computed tomography and expressive visualization. He is a distinguished member of the Eurographics Association since 2009, reflecting his outstanding career in the field of computer graphics.
