The analysis focuses on September 2019, the first year of López Obrador's government, when a new model of political communication was implemented with the ‘mañaneras’. This period reveals media hybridity: the coexistence of traditional and digital media, and develops the political properties: Government Advertising Expenditure, Government Social Approval and Political-Media Trust.

The research adopted a mixed approach and in order to test the Media Polyphony model, the facsimile model was used to analyse the main stories of El Universal, Excélsior, La Jornada, Milenio and Reforma, the most influential newspapers in Mexico, over a two-week period. Indicators were also developed to measure musical and political properties.
MEDIA POLYPHONY SCHEME
An important methodological innovation was the integration of artificial intelligence tools such as ChatGPT and Atlas.ti for content analysis, together with traditional qualitative analysis techniques and tools.
